  • TikTok cuts in creators. TikTok is making it known they will increase their creator fund to nearly 2 billion dollars over the next few years to compensate the content creators on their platform
  • Facebook ads fall from grace. A boycott which many predicted would be unsubstantial turned out to have a huge impact as over half of advertisers paused their Facebook ads this month.

The New Normal of Digital Marketing

Everything has changed dramatically this year and businesses have had to make quick and major adjustments to their operations. It’s difficult to know how to market a brand in such unusual circumstances, however marketing is still as important as it ever was. Here are four ways to market your business online during this difficult time.

Reassure your customers. Reach out through email updates and social media posts to let your customers know your business is there for them and isn’t going anywhere.

Be creative. Rather than falling back on older strategies, consider using this time to try new things and experiment with your marketing. This could be something like offering online classes relevant to your industry or offering unique discounts and promotions. Think of innovative ideas to help you stand out from your competition.

Build new social channels. There are several social media platforms you may not have considered using to market your business. Take this time to try out a few and build up your profile and content to start gaining a following.

Improve your website. Consider doing a deep evaluation of your website to check for broken links and pages which could be improved. See how well your site is designed for mobile users and make the customer experience as simple as possible.
